Affordable Health Care in the Age of the A.C.A.
I first conceptualized and pitched this concept in November 2021. After a few months of internal deliberation, the idea was green-lit, and I was tasked with writing, filming, and editing a multi-part series on the impact of the Affordable Care Act twelve years after it was passed. To do this, I conducted pre-interviews, wrote interview questions, tested and compiled equipment, and travelled to three different locations in Arizona to film sit down interviews and b-roll with four different storytellers (along with an additional but unrelated client in the area) all within a week and a half.
After returning home, I had a week and a half to comb through all the footage, and create a "teaser" episode which foreshadowed the following four episodes. (Not all episode from the series are included on this page, but they can be found on Honest Arizona's social media pages)
I edited each of the following clips in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro using custom animations. The graphics were created by my co-worker, Harrison Mitchell.
